  • Strategic Design & Innovation Fellows Program

    This program is designed to produce business leaders that can make strategic design decisions. By the end of the program, students master creative problem-solving and innovative-thinking utilizing marketing strategy and design techniques. Throughout the program, I found a love for campaign development, advertising, and branding. I learned to flex my left and right brain to come up with impactful solutions.

    American Marketing Association (AMA), National Top 25 Ranked Chapter

    AMA aims to enhance member’s professional, educational and social experience. Members are fully integrated into various marketing fields, hearing from guest speakers, enrolling in workshops and attending networking events. It was here where I learned to network and expand my knowledge of the different fields of marketing available. I became more comfortable connecting professionally with others and asking questions.

  • GLIS 101N: Globalization, Dr. Sommer Mitchell

    Explored how people and nations confront the phenomenon of globalization with different perspectives for studying and making sense of the world. Was exposed to a variety of analytical approaches from the arts, humanities and social sciences to see how different perspectives portray the world, interpret events and shape human actions. Discussed globalization’s impact on the environment, populations and health as well as global peace and global conflict.

    BMGT289B: How Do Innovator’s Think, Prof. Mark Wellman

    Learned about the innovation process and the role of the individual in generating innovations, the attributes, habits, and skills of individuals who have successfully started innovative new businesses or significantly added value to an existing company.

    BMGT 458Q: Computer Graphics Workshop, Prof. Kelly Driver

    Explored fundamental design principles through digital visual communication projects. Learned industry standard software (Adobe Creative Suite), basic computer graphics/design terminology and how to manipulate pixel and vector based images.

    BMGT 458R: Advanced Computer Graphics Workshop, Prof. Kelly Driver

    Learned how to use Sketch, Adobe AfterEffects, and create wireframes for applications. Initiated and developed responsive web design through software such as Figma.

    BMGT 458A: Design and Innovation in Marketing, Prof. Mary Harms

    Explored the role design plays in marketing strategy. Learned how to effectively manage the creative process, gained historical design literacy, developed further leadership, teamwork and communication skills, and conducted a retail team project.

    BMGT 458B: Design Applications in Marketing and Branding, Prof. Howard Bomstein

    Learned to work in a mock agency environment through real-world projects with a client and several case competitions.

    Examined the process of developing, implementing, and analyzing strategies for marketing through digital means, including the web, social media, and mobile apps.

  • Completed the Iliad Assessment: “a three-hour situational stimulation that requires participants to use personal and interpersonal skills to resolve an intense, business leadership challenge".
