Act as a freelance media replay operator utilizing DV Sport technology to queue plays, presenting them to officials when they have been contested in-game. Help prepare and operate replay camera during University of Maryland volleyball, field hockey, and soccer live events, following the storyline of game production. Also troubleshoot technical broadcast equipment, resolve workflow issues, and maintain content library.

Takeaways
Learned how to work in an environment with a lot of pressure and think of solutions quickly. When a play was contested, officials, teams, and coaches relied solely on me to unwind the play and provide the correct angles to determine a call quickly and efficiently. I enjoyed being right in the action of highly competitive games, taking in the energy of the crowd.

Initiative resulted in a 16% increase in following in less than six months. Also ran fundraising campaigns, generated a record $12,000 for the 2020-2021 school year in the midst of a pandemic.

Takeaways
Discovered my voice and merged my design and business expertise to craft successful solutions. Was able to help communicate between the marketing and journalism teams to craft a plan of action. I really enjoyed being able to take the lead in projects and how receptive the teams were to new ideas.
